Mr. Jimmy Bryan, 77, of Albany died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, May 21, 2017.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with the interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Grady Morey will officiate.
Mr. Bryan was born on January 30, 1940 in Miller County to the late Grady Lee and Geraldine Yates Bryan. He had lived in Albany most of his life. Mr. Bryan was the owner and operator of Bryan's Brake and Alignment Shop in Sylvester. He enjoyed working on classic cars, watching NASCAR and watching western movies. Mr. Bryan loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and greatly enjoyed the family beach vacations with them.
Survivors include his sons, Craig Bryan (Cindy) and Ricky Bryan (Sheila) all of Doerun; grandchildren, Aaron Bryan (Kristi), Amber Stewart (Josh), Brad Bryan and Jaret Bryan; great-grandchildren, J.T. Bryan, Madison Stewart, Jacob Bryan and Turner Stewart; special friend, Cecilia Bailey of Albany; sister, Linda Dodson (Kenneth) of Bainbridge; brothers, Harold Bryan (Cheryl) of Albany and Gerald Bryan (Janice) of Sylvester.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryan was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Smith Bryan on July 12, 2010.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
