While I will miss my lifelong friend , I find comfort in knowing she suffers no more. She was like my sister, and I will cherish the fun times we shared. Davis and I value the good times we had with Frances and her family . Love and prayers to all, and
I trust that God's love will surround all of you in the days and weeks ahead . Love, Donna and Davis King

FRANCES, Donna and I were lifelong Best Friends. We were the "Three-fold cord" that the BIBLE speaks of: "A three-fold cord is not easily broken."

If Frances loved you---She REALLY LOVED YOU. She Never did anything half-way. Her FAITH in GOD, and her Determination sustained her throughout her lifetime.

She loved giving gifts. In her early years, she gave expensive gifts. In her later years, when her income was cut substantially---that did not deter her---she still gave gifts to those she held Dear to her heart.

I was with her on numerous occasions in Tifton, and several different towns when she would go "Gift Shopping." She would take us to some of the "Most Unlikely" places---and at each place, Frances seemed to literally "sniff-out" TREASURES.

Frances would look behind things and under stacks of all kinds of things including JUNK---and out her hands would come with Baldwin Brass candlesticks, beautiful figurines, lovely bookends, signed and numbered pictures that were professionally framed. She would find lamps of different Periods that were Beautiful.

I have one lamp, in particular, that is a Louis XV that she gave me for my birthday. She got Michael to rewire it for me so that I can use it every day---and I do!

Frances loved china and crystal, and as usual---she would find choice pieces, and beautiful crystal etched glass goblets, etc.

She was in her element when it came to antiques. She LOVED THEM! She knew each Period, and the approximate value of each piece. In her early years, she and Wayne Calloway restored and refinished several pieces together. Wayne was the Master!

Her knowledge was extensive when it came to flowers, trees and shrubs. Frances could have taught a course in Horticulture at a major university.

To sum it all up: FRANCES EUGENIA (She hated Eugenia!) POWELL WATSON WAS AN AMAZING,UNIQUE,COMPLICATED "PIECE OF WORK!"
There will Never be another one like her.

We..."the three-fold cord" fussed sometimes---but we adored each other! We were closer than sisters---We were Always Sisters at heart.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR DEAR, DEAR, DEAR, DEAR FRANCES.

Most sincerely.
